Bucannon Earns Nomination

While Sunday’s final score may have ended in tie, it was the Cardinals defense which deserved to boast after a wild 75 minutes. Led by Deone Bucannon with 13 total tackles, the Arizona Cardinals defense held the Seattle Seahawks to only 6 points, the lowest scoring overtime game, ever.

In one of the best defensive performances for the Cardinals, they allowed the Seahawks only 52 rushing yards. There really wasn’t a statistic the Cardinals didn’t dominate– first downs were 23-11, time of possession was 46 minutes, 21 seconds to 28:39, and total yards were 443 to 257.

It’s a shame that the Cardinals couldn’t muster quite enough offense to reward a defensive unit that hasn’t allowed a touchdown in their last two games. But their performance certainly excites Cardinal fans as they head into the final nine games of the season.
