Bucannon Leads Defense in Tackles

Deone Bucannon and the Arizona Cardinals put a much anticipated “W” on the board Sunday as they beat the San Francisco 49ers 33-21.

The 49ers who are 1 and 4 took a 7-0 lead and got the ball back late in the second quarter. But linebacker Chandler Jones tipped a Blaine Gabbert pass that was intercepted by defensive tackle Calais Campbell and gave the ball to the Cardinals at the San Francisco 21-yard line. On the next play, Fitzgerald corkscrewed cornerback Trumaine Brock on a move and got wide open for a 21-yard touchdown to get to halftime tied.

From there, the Cardinals had the momentum. Bucannon did his part, adding in 14 total tackles for the game with 10 of them solo.

Bucannon and the rest of the Cardinals will look to keep the momentum going as they head into week 6 Monday Night Football matchup against the New York Jets at home.
